If your home Wi-Fi network is not displaying in the C by GE app, here are some common solutions:
- Turn mobile phone Bluetooth on
- Confirm your Wi-Fi Router is powered on and broadcasting. You can check this by going to Settings on your mobile phone and looking for your Wi-Fi network.
- If your router is powered on, but not broadcasting, contact your Internet Service Provider.
- In the C by GE app, where your Wi-Fi network should be displaying, refresh this screen by pulling down on the app.
- After the refresh, if your network still doesn’t display, enter your SSID manually
- Check your wi-fi strength at the plug location (you can do this by looking at the wi-fi signal bars on your phone)
- If you do not have a strong signal strength:
- Move plug closer to your router
- If you have a Wi-Fi Repeater, move it halfway between the plug and your router to improve signal strength
- If you do not have a strong signal strength:
- Power cycle the plug by unplugging it, then plugging it back in
- If the above steps did not work, you may need to factory reset the plug
