If your C by GE smart light bulbs become unresponsive in the C by GE app or with your voice assistant, and you are unable to get them reconnected, you may need to reset them.
This reset sequence is for C by GE light bulbs on firmware version 2.7 or earlier. This reset sequence will not work for the C by GE Light Strip.
Timed Sequence:
Make sure to turn power on and off at the wall switch and not within the app.
- Start with light off for at least 5 seconds.
- Turn on for 8 seconds
- Turn off for 2 seconds
- Turn on for 2 seconds
- Turn off for 2 seconds
- Turn on for 2 seconds
- Turn off for 2 seconds
- Turn on for 2 seconds
- Turn off for 2 seconds
- Turn on for 8 seconds
- Turn off for 2 seconds
- Turn on for 8 seconds
- Turn off for 2 seconds
- Turn on
- Bulb will flash on and off 3 times if it has been successfully reset.
